Literature Text

I searched for the piece of my life
That I had lost.
But it was gone,
Thrown away hopelessly.

I can't get back my childhood
Or my innocence
Or my dreams
Or my character.

It's all gone from me,
Left before I had a chance
To realize their importance.
And now it's too late.

I had some good times,
But not enough.
Because now I'm left feeling empty
Like part of my heart's been hollowed out.

I guess it's my fault
Just like it inevitably always is.
But how could I have known as a child
What the importance of childhood was?

You never know what you've got until it's gone.
This, I know, is true.
And truth can hurt,
But it's the truth and it's unavoidable.

So goodbye to my empty childhood
And goodbye to my fleeting innocence.
It's time to face the real world now,
To face the truth and the harm.
Make your childhood and innocence count because it is something you cannot gain back no matter how hard you try. This is a lesson I've learned a little too late...

But I did have a pretty good childhood, I suppose :)

very well written Emil-eye :3 I love to reminisce about the "good 'ol days" yet I hate it as well, reminding you of all the things you left and all the things you will leave as well :cries: why can't everything stay just the way it is now? :hmm: just if we had another year for everyone to be together I know we'd definitely try to make it last :) but we have one month and an entire summer. Hopefully we can make the best of it with those irresponsile science experiments book that dude made :XD:
